Two friends set their lives in an antithetic way: the first, leading the peasants in union claims and trying to the conquest of the land, is opposed to the local boss, while the second, unscrupulous and decided to excel following the mafia road, becomes the trustworthyman of the same criminal, agreeing to kill anyone who hinders his ascent in the underworld. Directed by Pasquale Squitieri, “Corleone”, is a drama cult set in Sicily decades ago which, with the music by Ennio Morricone, goes beyond the folk elements, carrying the listener in a dusty dimension and giving some emotions that involve mind and body, thanks to the fusion of notes that, on the one hand, caress him, on the other hand, infuse a certain melancholy.
