“AUN – The Beginning And The End Of All Things” is the soundtrack for Edgar Honetschläger‘s homonymous movie. Not a particular appeal production, but it seems to have involved a lot Fennesz. The final result is a fluid and melodic ambient, full of acoustic sounds that counterbalance a sober electronic music which makes delicacy its focal point. The aesthetic care is still a top-notch element: the very rare noise spots are strategically injected in order to blend silence before being overwhelmed by the input of the instruments. Some jewels condense in a few minutes a stratospheric intensity, with the precious contribution of his longtime collaborator and friend Ryuichi Sakamoto.
