Two dark visions reflected into two suites. Complimentary not only for melancholy moods. The improvisations of an American multi-instrumentalist draw melodic sketches, while the electronic ones of Dutch Machinefabriek envelops reverberations from the depths of field recordings. In the beginning, Cello Recycling was commissioned for use in an art gallery, saturated by an ecstatic drone. Rutger Zuydervelt took sad cello sounds from his friend and re-built them into an elusive track. After its crescendo, a concrete noises flow: the slow-burning Cello Drowning, a remix by Aaron Martin. Collaboration from murky worlds, or a difficult album that requires attention to be appreciated in full.
